Non-profit ownership, in a small rural community, with special government financing, and a dedication to affordability, helped launch Rock Cove’s fame upon opening in 1998. Success continued, and in the year 2000, Rock Cove earned national accolades by NCB Development Corporation and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, when they were given an award for excellence in Rural Affordable Assisted Living.
