CCL was directly involved with the design and development of the majority of the buildings that it manages. Consequently, many added considerations went into the design, furnishings, and layout of each building to better serve seniors and others with diminished physical capacities.

In addition to our standard design features and considerations found in the majority of our managed-buildings, many buildings offer their own unique extras such as:

• Several buildings have their own buses and all others have easy access to community transit options
• Many buildings have their own exercise room, equipment, and specialized group program.
• Two buildings are set in a campus-style setting offering different levels of housing and services at a single location.
• Two buildings are located right in the heart of the activity in downtown Portland.
• One building is located on a reservation, offering culturally significant activities and programs.
• One building is designed specifically to serve the deaf & deaf-blind including site staff that signs, light-activated alarm systems, chair & bed shakers, etc.
