QUESTIONS ABOUT ASSISTED LIVING | THE COST

Before moving to an assisted living facility, tenants may come from a wide variety of settings. Several owned their own home, others lived in apartments, some lived with family members, and a few came from care facilities.

Tenants in CCL-operated facilities rent their own apartments. The facility however also has many shared areas which can extend each individual apartment into a fairly good-sized house. This design furthers our goal to respect and preserve individual choice and lifestyle. It offers tenants the option again of a large home & family-type interaction; opportunity to experience and participate in neighborhood-type or community activities; as well as the privacy and personal space to pursue their own interests. The design of our buildings encourages residents to keep living, and experiencing, and learning by setting up little helps and supports in the background. Assistance is there when needed, without being intrusive.

Throughout the design process we attempt to keep our buildings as homelike as possible. We have tried and, we think for the most part, succeeded in providing buildings that have the safety and security found in institutional settings, but still provides a warm, comfortable, and pleasant homelike feel.

Whenever you visit a CCL-operated facility, for whatever reason, please take a minute or two to look at the special efforts that went into the building. We think it will provide you with a new appreciation of our commitment to serve.
